New Keyboard Shortcuts

1. Working with windows

Win + Up – Maximize the current Window

Win + Down – Restore down or minimize current Windows

Win + Left – Dock the current Window to the left half of the screen

Win + Right – Dock the current Window to the right half of the screen

Win + Home – Minimize all but the current Window

Win + Shift + Up – Maximize vertical size

Win + Shift + Down – Restore vertical size

Win + Shift + Left – Jump to left monitor

Win + Shift + Right – Jump to right monitor

2. Taskbar

Win + Number – Activate/Run the program with the Number

Win + Shift + Number – Run new instance of the program with the Number

Win + T – Cycle through the buttons

Win + Shift + T – Cycle backwards

Shift + Click or Wheel – Open a new instance

Shift + Rightclick – Show classic context menu (works on Taskbar and Start Menu items)

3. Windows Explorer

Alt + Up – Go up a directory

Alt + P – Toggle the preview panel

Ctrl + N – Open a new Window

Ctrl + Scroll – Change the view type (extra large, small, list view, detail, etc.)

Ctrl + E – Select the search box

4. Other shortcuts

Win + X – Mobility Center

Ctrl + Shift + N – Create new folder

5. Login/Logout

Win -> Right -> Enter – Shutdown

Win -> Right -> Right -> R – Restart

Win -> Right -> Right -> S – Sleep

Win -> Right -> Right -> W – Switch users

Disable Win key shortcuts:

1. Win+R -> “gpedit.msc”.
2. Go to User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Explorer.
3. Doubleclick “Turn off Windows+X Hotkeys” in the right panel.
4. Select Enable.
5. OK.
